Poetry Poster Project is an initiative that began in 2007. FEMRITE FEMRITE recognizes the input of Ms, Addy Beukema who worked with FEMRITE to shape the idea of a collage of poetry and art. So far, four PPP have been accomplishedand the following books published; Painted Voices Vol.1, Painted Voices Vol.2, Butterfly Dance and Go Tell Home – a multi- lingual publicationwith a foreword by Prof Timothy Wangusa. Launched the initial anthology at Afriart Gallery in Kampala in March 2008, Ms Kateeba, the Director of National Curriculum Development Centre, applauded FEMRITE for the original and relevant initiatives. The 5th PPP is in collaboration with universities on the theme: Climate Justice and Mental Health for Youths.
During each Poetry Poster Project, FEMRITE conducts a Poetry competition. The overall winners have so far been from Kigezi High School, Kabale District, Kira College Butiki, in Jinja and Sacred Heart Gulu.
